A networking lunch and afternoon networking with talks focused on the Future of Money – looking at the role blockchain and digital currencies will play in payments and transactions going forward, and what this means for banks and traditional payments providers. There will be short talks on Libra, microinsurance and on how blockchain is defining money and the future of money using blockchain and digital currency, as well as a debate/ chance to ask the speakers questions. Areiel Wolanow will be speaking about Facebook’s Libra and on how blockchain is being used in microinsurance. Areiel led the creation of IBM’s blockchain services practice for the ASEAN region and has solutioned and delivered DLT solutions for Lloyd’s of London, Deutsche Telekom, and others. He now leads Finserv Experts. Dave Karney, Business Development Director at Worldline, Europe’s largest payment processor, will be speaking on the Future of Money and how blockchain and digitisation is transforming payments and the role of banks. There will be a lot of great curry – arrive at 12.30 pm for a drink for 1pm start. Food and drinks are included.
